Introduction to Four Contexts of Learning

In my blog I will be exploring four different contexts of learning; I will be doing this through reflection, personal experience and research. The four contexts of learning that I will be looking at are learning in the outdoor environment, Montessori education, home education and Summerhill School. I chose these four contexts of learning because I found these four to be the most interesting ones in my opinion because the way the learning is developed is different in each context. I chose to look at home schooling as a context of learning because I have always wanted to know how a child’s learning is structured. The Montessori context of learning captured my interest because I never heard of that learning style before. Outdoor learning is something which I find to be very fascinating because there is many ways in which children learn outdoors and it has opened my eyes to how much children do learn from the outdoor environment which they do not realise. I also believe that these four contexts of learning have a major impact on children and the way they learn and develop.
